Michael Jackson Tribute Concert Now Pay-Per-View on Facebook

Can't make it to Cardiff, Wales for the Michael Jackson tribute concert on Oct. 8? Facebook has it covered.
Milyoni, which calls itself a leader in "F-commerce" or Facebook commerce, is teaming with Ridgeline Entertainment to broadcast the show online via Facebook. The live broadcast, scheduled for Oct. 8, will cost $3.99 via PayPal or $4.99 the day of the show. Unsurprisingly, users can also pay the equivalent amount via Facebook Credits, either 40 Credits in advance or 50 the day of the show.
That's significantly cheaper than the prices being offered for actually showing up, which range from 55 pounds for general admission (via the official site) to 95 pounds for the "golden circle" in front of the stage. And, of course, there are the hospitality packages for over 4,700 pounds, spread across a dozen guests.
The Michael Jackson tribute concert will be broadcast live on October 8 via Facebook from the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales using Milyoni's Social Live technology. It will begin at 10 AM PT, and feature cameras which are situated to give a "front row seat" like experience, with multiple shots and angles, according to a Milyoni representative.
It's noteworthy that the concert is also being characterized as an app, the same category that aWarner Bros. show, "Aim High," is. Produced by McG, the show will allow a user who opts in to be digitally inserted into the show as background materials, along with friends.
The reported Michael Jackson tribute concert lineup includes Christina Aguilera, The Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Hudson and Smokey Robinson, plus Cee Lo Green, Leona Lewis, Craig David, and 3T, otherwise known as Tito Jackson's three sons.
According to reports, the event has not been without controversy; the concert is scheduled to take place during the trial of the doctor accused in Jackson's death.
Jackson died at age 50 in L.A. on June 25, 2009, galvanizing social media searches and sparking arash of malware capitalizing on his death.
Mother Katherine Jackson announced the "Michael Forever The Tribute Concert" with Marlon, Tito, Jackie and La Toya Jackson earlier this year. But Jermaine and Randy Jackson have objected.
"While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial of the doctor accused in Jackson's death," the two said in a statement to CNN.
The band KISS was also dropped after singer Gene Simmons told Classic Rock magazine that "There's no question in my mind he molested those kids. Not a doubt," in reference to the molestation charges of which Jackson was acquitted after a 2005 trial in California, Billboard reported.

Prince Jackson, makes first solo public appearance

michael would be proud to see his son following in his footsteps in doing charity work

His father was noted for the sharp suit and armband combo he started wearing during his smooth criminal years.
And it seems the look was still inspiring his son as he made a solo public appearance in Berlin, Germany today.
The 14-year-old donned a black suit and red armband as he appeared at the Tribute to Bambi 2011 event. He will star be starring at an auction on November 10 in aid of the Tribute to Bambi foundation, where his father's handwritten composition of Bad will be up for sale.
A spokesman for the event said: 'Prince Michael Jackson will walk the red carpet and present the manuscript on stage surrounded by children.
